Elias Hernandez
Associate Attorney at Brylak Law

Elias Hernandez found his calling in law as a second career and earned his law degree from St. Mary’s University School of Law in 2020. Balancing a full-time job while attending law school in the evenings, Elias also served as a student-attorney in the Immigration and Human Rights Clinic, gaining hands-on experience advocating for vulnerable populations.
He began his legal career in 2021, managing a wide range of personal injury cases, including car wrecks, commercial vehicle collisions, premises liability, nonsubscriber claims, and employment retaliation cases.
Growing up in the Rio Grande Valley, Elias watched his family spend more than 30 years working in the insurance industry. That experience gave him an insider’s view of how insurance companies handle injury claims—and how often victims are left fighting alone. Motivated by that reality, Elias chose to stand on the other side and fight for injured victims and their families. His mission is to give his clients a fair chance and make sure their voices are heard.
Elias has helped countless clients navigate difficult times with honesty, compassion, and relentless advocacy. He actively contributes to the legal community as a member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, the San Antonio Trial Lawyers Association—where he serves as a director. He is a graduate of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association’s LEAD Academy and the Trial Advocacy College of Texas. He is admitted to the State Bar of Texas and Colorado.
Outside of the courtroom, Elias is a proud husband and father of two. He enjoys family time, staying active through running, cycling, and competing in HYROX at the Male Pro division, a worldwide fitness competition.
